Hello current financial members!
Our AGM will be held Saturday, September 5, and in order to achieve a quorum we must have 40 attendees/proxy vote forms.
If you are unavailable for the meeting, please complete the proxy form (link below) and send it in to the office no later than Thursday, September 3. This is your chance to vote on new board members and any other general business of the group, so take advantage of it!
You can email the form or post it in, or drop it into the office in person, whatever works!

Learn how to warp, dress and weave on a multi-shaft loom. This workshop will lead you through winding your first warp, beaming your loom, threading, sleying and weaving. At the end you will go home with your own woven piece of fabric! Bring your own loom or use one from the guild.
This workshop is just an introduction into weaving and there is plenty to be learned afterwards. The two days is therefore also open for participants who have already attended a beginning workshop before and need a refresher or a step further.

Calling all spinners, knitters, weavers, felters, basketmakers, papermakers and lovers of all things fibre and textile – it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the big reveal for the Mapleton Craft Retreat 2015!
We’ve listened to the responses from campers past and we’ve made the move back to Mapleton. It almost feels like coming home!
There are some changes this year – first, we’ve moved the dates to the last weekend in July to put a little more space between other fibre events on the calendar. Our retreat will run from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, 2015.
We have also introduced an “early bird special” for those who pay for the whole weekend by May 15, 2015.
The plan for this retreat is to open it up to a range of fibre crafts, from the familiar to the new and exciting! If you’ve never attended a retreat before because you thought it wasn’t for you, then this is the one to try!
Stay tuned for special guests, interesting workshops, and announcements about extra activities.
