The Weavers Interest Group meets on the first Wednesday of the month, 9.30am to 1pm. February to December. Morning tea/coffee is provided but BYO lunch.
Each month there is a topic for discussion with members bringing examples of weaving pertinent to the topic. In addition, there is a “show and tell” segment where recent weavings are shown and discussions concerning inspiration, problems encountered etc. There is a generous exchange of ideas and information so bring your weaving problems and you will go home with a multitude of solutions.
Members also have the opportunity to participate in a “Challenge” to produce a finished piece of weaving using a particular colour, fibre and weave chosen from barrels at the February meeting. These weavings are exhibited and judged at the following October meeting.
